I have driven past Woodlands Historic Park, just north of Melbourne airport, many times. A few weeks ago I stopped to take a look. I parked at the Providence Road car park, walked alongside the Aboriginal cemetery, and went through the gate into the Back Paddock. This area is fenced and gated since it is the site of a recovery program for the Eastern Barred Bandicoot. The paddock is mainly natural bushland and features a number of very old eucalypts.
