I am Paul Piko, and photography has been a hobby of mine for years. I used to take mostly landscapes.
Then, in 2008, I became interested in native orchids, particularly those growing in Victoria. Since then I have travelled all over the state capturing images of orchids in flower in their natural environments. As I look after the Facebook and Twitter of the Australasian Native Orchid Society (Victoria), many of my orchid photos have been posted there.
In more recent times I have been photographing birds and animals.
This blog site is a central point for my photos, and information about my trips and travels.
